| Purple Parrot Computer Status Monitor displays various types
of information about your computer system, including CPU usage, memory size and
usage, resource usage (Windows 98/ME only), disk space and usage, processor type and
speed, number of processors, version and build number of Windows, and laptop battery charge
status and level. Any, or all of the information, can be permanently displayed in any
location on your screen (color-coded to indicate usage levels) or minimized to the
system tray.
In addition to selecting which system items you wish to monitor, you can also set options for
maximum levels that you want the program to alert you to if the parameters you set are exceeded. For
example, if you entered an option specifying that you wanted to be notified if memory usage went
above 90 percent, the program would pop up a balloon message whenever that occurred. These
notification maximum levels are referred to as "Threshold Levels". |
